MESSAGE FROM STONEY
Summer! (I can’t believe it’s almost over.) Our family has had a great couple of months with the kids out of school. The time has flown by! This is the first newsletter we have been able to get out this season, and it’s hard to believe summer vacation is done. By the time you read this, our kids will be back in school! Ellen, the girls, and I were fortunate to have been able to get out of the southeast Texas heat in the middle of July and enjoy some mountain air. We visited Idaho and Montana. The scenery was beautiful, the weather was fantastic, and our family enjoyed our time together. I do not know if this is true for everyone, but I feel like a different person on vacation. It makes sense that when we get away from the daily grind, we are able to relax, enjoy our surroundings and the people we are with more. My hope is that our new home, once finished, offers some of the same sanctuary that I feel on vacation, that our family can enjoy daily. I think it is important that when designing a custom home, you consider incorporating spaces to relax and recharge. Some features that are trending in our recent projects include reading nooks in the primary bedroom, steam showers and saunas, prayer spaces, and outdoor living areas. I believe areas like these are what allow your home to be your sanctuary. Hopefully, this allows for a few minutes of vacation zen, daily! #andersonforeverhomes Stoney Petit |
